About Me



Hi, I'm Chan Nyein Zin—a recent Columbia University grad with a passion for programming that began in Mandalay, Myanmar.
I’m proficient in languages like Java, Python, and JavaScript, and have hands-on experience with front-end frameworks (React) and back-end tools (Flask, Spring Boot, REST APIs).
I’ve built scalable applications using PostgreSQL, AWS RDS, and modern version control and API testing tools.
Outside of tech, I enjoy aquascaping, culinary adventures, and algorithm challenges. Let's connect and build something extraordinary!

CHALLENGES

I thrive under pressure. At Columbia, I took 18 credits of challenging Computer Science courses, including Literature. I enjoy pushing my limits.

CREATING

I like to create new things. even when cooking, I develop my own recipes. In computer science, I apply the same creativity to developing innovative solutions and approaches.

COMMUNITY

I look forward to getting involved and contributing to different communities. I have contributed to the Burmese community by building a strong and supportive environment for Burmese students who want to learn CS and guide them. I always seek out peer-driven environments.

  • Supported rollout of over 35,000 Windows 11 systems in clinical and admin environments, helping scale Inova's digital infrastructure.
  • Collaborated with field teams to improve the experience for internal users during the transition.
  • Researched hardware/software compatibility, gathered user feedback, and helped resolve friction points
  • Ensured compliance with IT policies (MFA, security settings) while supporting account access, login, and Microsoft 365 tools.
